Abstract: The land and language of the Tamils are not just geographical places or instruments of exchange. They are a mirror that reflects the soul and identity of a civilization. From the Sangam period to the present day, the land of the Tamils has not only been their livelihood but also their cultural and spiritual identity. Moreover, the lands are divided into five types of territories and have shaped the lifestyles and thoughts of the Tamils in each period. Similarly, language has been a tool to preserve the history, knowledge and arts of the Tamils of the world. Moreover, the Tamil language has been enriched in various forms in various periods from Sangam literature to modern times.
