Operational guidelines and recommendations for an Inclusive European Green Deal – 2nd Cycle
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This deliverable comprises a set of policy recommendations presented as a series of tailored factsheets designed for two primary target groups: policymakers and civil society organisations, but also other relevant stakeholders such as transport operators, media and academics. These recommendations are based on insights gained during the second research cycle of ACCTING. The document provides a comprehensive account of the process undertaken to develop these recommendations. Seven factsheets are developed in this cycle, focused on topics such as: safety in public transportation for women and socially vulnerable groups, integration of wellbeing into policy mechanism to foster inclusivity and equality, exploring resistance as a crucial component of transformative change, redefining the notion of public interest, promoting innovative policies to support commons, public civil society partnerships for behavioural change, and the role of commons in driving inclusive behavioural change. Each factsheet includes a brief introduction to the topic, insights from ACCTING’s research that highlight on-the-ground inequalities, followed by a set of actionable recommendations. They also feature inspiring stories – “better stories” – showcasing effective practices that help address these inequalities and conclude with an overview of the specific Green Deal policy areas directly related to the topic
