A Review on CNC-Based Writing and Drawing Machine Using V3 Control Board

Abstract: This review presents the development of a CNC-based Writing and Drawing Machine that automates handwriting and drawing using a V3 control board and microcontroller. This prototype supports both manual and voice-assisted modes of operation. The user can input text or images, convert them to G-code, and the machine reproduces them with precision on paper. A detailed flowchart of the entire process, from power-up to drawing execution, is illustrated. The system, though in prototype phase, demonstrates wide applicability, including educational tools, assistive technologies, and light manufacturing. Moreover, by replacing the pen with a cutter or laser and the writing surface with wood or metal, the machine can be transformed into a laser engraver or CNC cutter.
