Positionality: Citizen Science Workshop for CoMOOCs project
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Implementation research supporting teacher professional development for displaced communities on the Thai-Myanmar border involves working with a group of citizen scientists, teachers and educators living and working in that context. During their training and preparation for this work, citizen scientists requested further opportunities to reflect on issues of positionality and the relationship between positionality in research and research ethics. The slides were developed to promote discussion and reflection with citizen scientists, and to provide some basic tools for the team to return to these reflections as they conduct the research.
