Nowe stanowisko Penthophera morio (Linnaeus, 1767) (Lepidoptera: Erebidae: Lymantriinae) na Górnym Śląsku

Abstract: New record of Penthophera morio (Linnaeus, 1767) (Lepidoptera: Erebidae: Lymantriinae) from Upper Silesia, Poland.Penthophera morio is recorded contemporarely for the second time from Upper Silesia. The moth observation took place in an urbanized area, heavily transformed by human activity, namely the city of Żory. The moth, was observed as early as April, making it the earliest spring observation of the species. Moreover, our locality is currently the westernmost of Penthophera morio in Poland.
