Abstract: Dropephylla ivani nom. n. Dropephylla loebli Shavrin, 2024: 592 syn. n. Remarks. Dropephylla loebli Shavrin, 2024 was recently described based on the holotype deposited in the collection of MHNG, collected in Kars, Turkey (Shavrin 2024). Some time later after the description, A.F. Newton (Chicago) sent a letter where he noted that this name “…is a junior primary homonym of Dropephylla loebli Thayer 2003, from Mexico and USA [Thayer 2003]”. Therefore, a new replacement name is proposed under the Article 34.2 of ICZN.
