A Continuity-Based Alternative Model for Universe Branching

Abstract: A Continuity-Based Alternative Model for Universe Branching AbstractThe classical quantum branching model predicts discrete and separate branches of universes. However, the temporal uncertainty of singular atomic events (e.g., emission of a particle by a radioactive atom) raises conceptual difficulties such as the instantaneous creation of infinitely many new universes. In this study, an alternative model is proposed where the branching of universes occurs not as discrete jumps but as a continuous volumetric structure. IntroductionThe multiverse concept describes a multiple-universe structure explained by the probabilistic nature of quantum mechanics. Classical branching models argue that the universe multiplies in discrete, instantaneous branches. However, this approach faces logical and ontological challenges, especially considering the temporal uncertainty of random quantum events. Model ProposalIn the proposed model, universe branching is not represented as a discrete graph but as a continuous field or volume. Since the exact timing of a single atom emitting a particle cannot be precisely determined, new universes do not instantly arise at every moment; instead, the universe expands within a continuity domain. Thus, the classical branching concept transforms into a continuous and volumetric model. ConclusionThe proposed continuity-based model aims to overcome the ontological issues of classical quantum branching models and suggests that universe branching is a volumetric, continuous process. This approach offers a new perspective on the multiverse concept and may provide a foundation for future theoretical research.
