Abstract: Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) have revolutionized various engineering domains, and civil engineering is no exception. This review paper explores the current trends, applications, and future prospects of AI and ML in civil engineering. The study examines the implementation of AI/ML techniques in structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, construction management, transportation systems, and environmental engineering. The paper also highlights the challenges and research gaps in integrating AI/ML technologies into civil engineering practices.
