Abstract: This article examines the process of adaptation of young couples in Kazakh and Uzbek families to family life - emotional intimacy, the boundaries of family relationships, decision-making, time, friends, interests and leisure. The study also involved brother-in-law, sisters-in-law and mothers-in-law, and their results were compared.
