Abstract: Knowledge in functional and aesthetic regenerative gynecology (FARG) encompasses understanding current and emerging approaches to the diagnosis, treatment, management and prevention of conditions that negatively impact on women's gynecological health. A cross-sectional study was conducted to assess the level of knowledge of urology, gynecology, and obstetrics specialists concerning FARG. The study population included 81 physicians practicing at Luis Ortega Hospital in Porlamar, Nueva Esparta state; José Ignacio Baldó Hospital in Caracas; and José María Vargas Hospital in Aragua state, Venezuela, who met the inclusion criteria. A validated questionnaire with a reliability coefficient of 0.714 was administered following informed consent. Results showed that 35.8% of participants were aged 34-40 years. Seventy-six-point five percent (76.5%) were gynecologists, and 45.7% had 1-5 years of professional experience. Only 28.4% reported having training in FARG. Knowledge of FARG ranged from deficient (38.3 %) to good (34.6 %). Regarding conceptual aspects and associated pathologies of FARG, knowledge varied from fair (48.1 %) to deficient (40.3 %); in contrast, proficiency in FARG techniques and procedures was deficient (44.4 %) and fair (33.3 %); furthermore, 22.2 % reported good knowledge. Results highlight the relevance of FARG knowledge for the management of patients with minimally invasive procedures and techniques, making decisions beyond aesthetics, and addressing health issues to restore genital function and improve women's self-esteem.
