Workplace Mindfulness and Managerial Support as Predictors of Subjective Career Success: The Mediating Role of Self-Efficacy
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: : Subjective career success is shaped by both individual and organizational resources. This study investigates the roles of workplace mindfulness and managerial support in predicting subjective career success, with self-efficacy acting as a mediator. Drawing from Conservation of Resources (COR) Theory, the study focuses on 350 employees from the Indian banking sector, using a cross-sectional survey design. The results show that both workplace mindfulness and managerial support positively relate to self-efficacy, which in turn significantly influences career satisfaction. Self-efficacy also mediates both relationships, reinforcing its central role in enhancing career outcomes. The findings offer practical suggestions for organizational leaders and HR professionals to promote supportive and mindful work environments that strengthen employees’ confidence and long-term career satisfaction.
