Development of Fiscal Policy in Uzbekistan
Year: 2025
Type: conference-paper
Abstract: This study examines the development of fiscal policy in Uzbekistan from 2010 to 2024, focusing on its impact on economic growth and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). Using a synthetic dataset based on IMF and World Bank trends, the analysis employs a multiple linear regression model to assess the influence of Nominal GDP, Tax Revenue, Fiscal Deficit, and Public Debt on FDI as a percentage of GDP. The findings reveal that Nominal GDP significantly drives FDI, with a one-billion-dollar increase in GDP raising FDI by zero point zero one three five percent of GDP, while Tax Revenue, Fiscal Deficit, and Public Debt show no significant effect.
