Abstract: This document reports on the initial requirements for the services to be delivered by the SciLake project, taking into consideration the results of an initial investigation on the special needs of the SciLake pilot communities (Neuroscience, Cancer research, Transportation, and Energy). It also presents initial ideas on the use cases to be demonstrated by each pilot and possible key performance indicators that can be used to evaluate the effectiveness of the SciLake services in helping researchers in the context of these use cases.
