Abstract: An a world where ancient customs and traditions shape our identities and communities, science is a crucial force for progress and understanding. While cultural practices often provide a sense of belonging and continuity, they can also perpetuate misconceptions or outdated beliefs. Science, with its rigorous methods of inquiry and commitment to evidence, offers a path to re-evaluating and correcting these traditions when necessary. This article explores the valuable contributions of scientific understanding in challenging harmful practices, promoting informed decision-making, and fostering a culture of critical thinking. It also argues for the importance of studying the Holy Qur’an and the need to understand it in a deep and moderate way in order to use it to understand, scrutinize, and correct many outdated customs and traditions.
