Abstract: Using effective communication skills for changing behaviour is an art. It requires testing the skills,tools, channels and messages used in education, guidance and support given to mothers. Testing is important fordeciding which methods and messages are most effective to achieve the desired outcome in healthy behaviourand practices. We found very few research studies that identify the needs and most effective means and tools forchanging behaviour and beliefs in in the different communities in Egypt. Only one study compared betweendifferent tools used and types of counselling.
