Abstract: This literature review explores the integration of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) metrics into customer success models, aiming to chart a future path for how companies can enhance value creation through sustainability practices. The review synthesizes existing academic literature to assess the current landscape of ESG integration in customer success across various industries. The scope includes analyzing the impact of ESG metrics on customer loyalty and satisfaction, evaluating the effectiveness of current ESG frameworks and tools in customer success outcomes, and proposing a theoretical model and best practices for companies.The findings reveal that ESG metrics significantly influence customer loyalty and overall satisfaction, indicating that customers increasingly prefer companies with strong sustainability records. However, the effectiveness of current ESG frameworks varies significantly across different sectors, suggesting a need for industry-specific adaptations. The proposed theoretical model integrates ESG metrics into customer value models, offering a foundation for future empirical testing.The implications of this review are profound for the service industry, highlighting that the integration of ESG metrics is not only beneficial for sustainability but also enhances customer relationships and business performance. The review concludes by suggesting a set of best practices for companies aiming to embed ESG considerations into their customer success strategies. These practices are designed to help companies manage ESG integration while maximizing the associated benefits.
