Functional Complexity in Radioactive Decay: A New Mathematical Perspective Using Zeta Functional Derivative Geometry and Begümian Sigma-Structure

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Radioactive decay has long been regarded as the paradigmatic example of absolute randomness in physics, its statistics described with remarkable precision by Poisson and exponential probability distributions. However, emerging evidence from both empirical data and advanced mathematical analysis suggests the existence of subtle, non-classical patterns—hints of “functional complexity” and new forms of randomness within radioactive time series. In this paper, two original mathematical frameworks—the Zeta Functional Derivative Geometry and the Begümian Sigma-Structure—are introduced and rigorously applied to the analysis of real-world radioactive decay datasets. Analyses reveal evidence of functional chaos, non-trivial higher-order differences, anti-persistent dynamics, and fractal characteristics that escape classical models. These results not only challenge the sufficiency of conventional probability theory for describing nuclear decay, but also open new pathways for the mathematical understanding of physical randomness in nature.
