Victimized System Syndrome (VSS): A Theoretical Framework on Intergenerational Victimhood and Systemic Leadership Failures
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Many societies valorize the narrative of overcoming adversity. While inspirational, this narrative oftenobscures a deeper issue: individuals who rise from poverty or trauma may lack the cognitive modelsnecessary to build truly transformative systems. Without reconditioning and exposure to higher-orderenvironments, these individuals unknowingly replicate the very limitations that defined their upbringing. We term this recursive pattern Victimized System Syndrome (VSS): a state where victims become systembuilders, but without internal transformation, thereby institutionalizing victimhood itself. This journal aims todetail the psychological mechanisms, social consequences, and leadership implications of VSS.
