Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This article is an analysis of the rhetorical devices in the first 17 lines of a landmark poem of Palestinian resistance literature, in which the speaker defiantly asserts his Arab identity, recounts his personal and collective hardships, and challenges the forces of dispossession and discrimination with unwavering dignity and pride. The annotation demonstrates the application of corpus linguistics methods to Arabic rhetoric, contributing to the broader field of computational analysis of Arabic rhetorical devices.
