Abstract: In a number of recent judgements, the European Court of Justice and the Court of First Instance have considered issues connected with the interrelation between the EU law and the public international law. Such areas of interrelation are the concluding of international agreements by the EU, some problems of the institute of the European citizenship, and the possible protection on a European level against the EU acts adopted in the implementation of counter-terrorism measures of the United Nations Security Council.
