Abstract: The Strengthening Teaching-Learning and Results for States (STARS) Project, launched in February 2021 with a substantial budget of ₹5,718 crore, represents a significant stride in India's education sector. This report delves into its objectives, provisions, and implementation status across six designated states. Aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the project aims to enhance teaching-learning processes and educational outcomes. Recognizing the importance of inclusive education, it addresses diverse regional challenges. This research evaluates STARS' impact on learning outcomes and governance, aligns it with NEP 2020 principles, and offers recommendations for sustained success, positioning it as a pivotal endeavor in India's educational transformation.
