Course Observation Report Template
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This document provides a template for sharing with instructors, administrators, and others the results from observing a higher education course with both in-person and online learning components. The observations focus on the learning management system, in-class activities, use of technology, and interactions between students and instructors. This template was originally developed to support Michigan State University's Evidence-Driven Learning Innovation (EDLI) Blended Courses project that sought to improve student learning outcomes and equity in STEM courses with digital educational components.
