Labioplastia genital no quirúrgica con láser diodo 980 nm: técnica puntual y endolifting en atrofia vulvovaginal

Type: article
Abstract: Vulvovaginal atrophy is the thinning, dryness, and inflammation of the vulvovaginal tissue, associated with decreased estrogen levels and collagen loss. It can occur at any stage of the life cycle. Additionally, physiological changes during perimenopause and menopause exacerbate atrophy and tissue retraction. Therefore, in this condition, if a patient requires labiaplasty, performing a reduction with excision would not yield satisfactory long-term results, making minimally invasive labiaplasty preferable. This case study evaluated non-surgical genital labiaplasty using a 980 nm diode laser, employing the techniques of punctual and endolifting, in a 42-year-old patient with grade II hypertrophy of the labia minora and vulvovaginal atrophy. With informed consent, non-surgical labiaplasty using a 980 nm diode laser was performed, employing the punctual technique on the right labium minus and endolifting on the left labium minus. Platelet growth factor (Platelet-rich plasma) was infiltrated into the labia minora upon completion of the procedure. Post-labiaplasty follow-up was conducted at 48 hours, seven days, one month, and three months. Improvement in the skin of the labia minora and reduction in measurements were observed at the three-month follow-up, with a reduction of 4 mm with the punctual technique and 9 mm with endolifting. Both techniques were effective, with shorter surgical times, no operative wounds, and less pain compared to conventional labiaplasty, yielding satisfactory aesthetic, functional, and psychological outcomes.
