Analyzing Positive Sentiment in Bandung Visitor Reviews Using Google Maps Data

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the positive sentiment expressed by visitors in their reviews of Bandung, Indonesia, using data from Google Street View. we identify and quantify common words and phrases that imply positivity in these reviews. Our methodology involves collecting a dataset of visitor reviews, followed by sentiment analysis. The results provide insights into the most frequently occurring positive terms, allowing us to understand what aspects of Bandung are most appreciated by visitors. This research contributes to the field of tourism analytics by offering a quantitative approach to evaluating tourist experiences and can be used to inform marketing strategies and urban planning initiatives aimed at enhancing the tourist experience in Bandung. Ultimately, this study seeks to provide a comprehensive understanding of the positive sentiments associated with Bandung as a tourist destination, shedding light on its attractions and qualities that make it appealing to visitors.
