Abstract: It is the supplemental material associated with the manuscript "Hypertriglyceridemia-associated Pancreatitis is Reversed by Phosphate". New & Noteworthy: Phosphate protects against hypertriglyceridemia-induced pancreatic injury by restoring calcium homeostasis and energy levels within acinar cells and shielding the pancreas from triglyceride-induced inflammation raising the possibility that phosphate supplementation may prevent or reduce the severity of pancreatitis.
