Analyzing Various Watermarking Parameters to Enhance Robustness through Machine Learning Models

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Digital watermarking plays a vital role in protecting intellectual property and ensuring data integrity. However, its robustness against various attacks depends on multiple parameters, such as watermark strength, embedding location, and transform domain coefficients. This research investigates the impact of these parameters on watermark robustness and employs machine learning (ML) models to optimize their selection. By analyzing the relationship between different parameter settings and watermark resilience against common attacks, including compression, noise, and geometric distortions, we develop an ML-based framework for improving robustness. The proposed approach involves training predictive models on a diverse dataset to identify optimal parameter configurations that maximize security while maintaining imperceptibility. Experimental evaluations demonstrate the effectiveness of ML-driven optimization in enhancing watermark robustness. The findings of this study contribute to the development of adaptive and intelligent watermarking techniques for secure digital media protection.
