Abstract: The article considers the result of desulfurization of steel grade SHX15-PV during electroslag remelting. The main attention is paid to the purity of the metal of the bearing grade of steel after the use of ESP. The importance of this parameter for modern technology is noted. The work reflects the problems associated with obtaining a high purity bearing range. The results of the assessment of metal contamination with non-metallic sulfide inclusions in accordance with GOST 801 and ISO 4967 (method A) before and after the use of ESP are described. It is emphasized that the use of electroslag remelting technology contributes to the almost complete desulfurization of steel SHX15-PV.
