Personalizing Texts in the Artistic Disciplines: How University Educators Use Generative Ai for Meaningful Learning
Year: 2025
Type: conference-paper
Abstract: This research examines how educators use Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) to personalize instructional texts in artistic disciplines, addressing diverse learners’ needs for meaningful engagement. Through a mixed-methods approach combines qualitative content analysis with a systematic search of scholarly and practitioner literature and media, this study identifies seven GenAI prompting strategies: complexity scaling, length modification, viewpoint diversification, multilingual adaptation, organizational clarity, cross-cultural enrichment, and terminology clarification. Results highlight breadth of GenAI prompts educators use to personalize texts for students’ meaningful learning, supporting inclusivity and educational equity. This study highlights the feasibility of educators using GenAI prompting techniques for text personalization to engage students in meaningful learning.
