Abstract: Designed for research methods courses or other courses that incorporate content about research or group communication, the Focus Group Introduction offers a meaningful introductory activity. By having students work together to design and facilitate a focus group in which the goal is to learn about one another, the activity is designed to build an inclusive learning community while allowing students to preview, experience, and reflect on important course content.
