Revolutionizing Animal Healthcare: The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Veterinary Diagnostics
Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: In recent years, Artificial intelligence (AI) has brought remarkable changes to many industries, including healthcare. In veterinary medicine, AI has become a powerful tool, improving the way animals are examined, diagnosed, and treated. By enhancing accuracy and efficiency, AI benefits both animals and their owners. One key area of impact is the use of AI-powered diagnostic systems. These systems leverage machine learning to analyze large volumes of data, such as medical records, lab results, and imaging studies, helping veterinarians identify patterns and detect even the smallest abnormalities. This leads to more precise and reliable diagnoses, transforming animal healthcare. This review focuses on the role of AI in veterinary care, exploring its applications, advantages, challenges, and future potential. AI has also demonstrated its effectiveness in treatment planning and predicting outcomes. By analyzing historical data, AI algorithms and machine learning models can forecast how specific conditions may respond to particular treatments. This insight allows veterinarians to design more informed and tailored treatment plans, significantly improving the likelihood of successful outcomes.
