Abstract: Expert systems and Inference Engine are both artificial intelligence (AI) programs created to replicate human skill in particular fields by using a knowledge base that contains domain-specific data, guidelines, and experiences. This knowledge base is subjected to logical reasoning via an inference engine, which helps the system solve complicated issues, support decision-making, and automate processes. Expert systems improve decision-making and problem-solving across a range of domains, including customer service, engineering design, financial analysis, and medical diagnosis, by assimilating and utilizing human expertise. This AI technology is a useful tool in many businesses since it increases efficiency, decreases errors, and simplifies operations. The purpose of this study is to investigate a number of ideas in the mentioned field.
