Abstract: In the context of the rapid development of information technology (IT), the importance of studying the linguistic personality of specialists in this field is increasing. A professional language personality is a set of linguistic knowledge, skills and abilities that determine a person's professional competence and ability to interact in a professional environment. This article discusses the main methods of studying the professional language personality of IT specialists. Special attention is paid to the role of linguistic analysis, the discursive approach and cognitive models.
