Prototype of open precision protection tools and systems and protocol for the implementation (D5.6)
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This documentation constitutes the basis for the realization, implementation and management of the prototype(s) of precision protection system (Morocco) in order to develop an early warning system for the management of late blight, caused by Phytophthora infestans, on potato crops based on the multispectral aerial images taken by drones equipped with multispectral camera sensors. It includes the prototype objectives, general considerations and recommendations as well as the following two sections: - the prototype section which provides a scientific and technological description of the R&I process carried out to realize the prototype (method/system/tool/final innovative product) following the laboratory/small-scale testing phase (WP4) and the feedback collected during the field validation (WP5). Following the impact pathway approach, it describes the activities carried out, the outputs and outcomes achieved and the measurements obtained of the relevant key performance indicators demonstrating the impact; - - the protocol section which takes an operational perspective to describe how to implement and manage the prototype, thus ensuring its full functionality and ease of use. It includes deployment requirements, procedures, methods, techniques and practical considerations. In addition, the protocols generate guidelines (D4.4), practice summaries (D6.5) and training materials (D5.1).
