Experimental Analysis of Gear Tooth Profile

Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: This paper presents an experimental analysis of gear tooth profiles, focusing on the impact of profile geometry on performance, durability, and efficiency. The study investigates various tooth profile modifications, such as involute and non-involute shapes, to determine their effects on load distribution, stress concentration, and contact pattern. Using advanced testing equipment and finite element analysis (FEA), the research analyzes key parameters like contact stress, bending stress, and wear characteristics. Results demonstrate that specific profile optimizations significantly enhance load-carrying capacity, reduce vibration, and improve operational lifespan. These findings contribute to the design of high-performance gears in industries where reliability and efficiency are paramount.
