Abstract: This research explores a cost-effective and non-invasive method to evaluate the quality and remaining life of engine oil using an optoelectronic system comprising a Light Emitting Diode (LED) and a Light Dependent Resistor (LDR). The system functions by measuring the change in light intensity passing through engine oil samples, correlating the data to oil degradation levels. This technique is simple, scalable, and adaptable for use in various fields including automotive diagnostics, industrial maintenance, and fluid purity monitoring.
