Abstract: A Girlfriend for the Schizoid (Part V): The Digital Lamb, or Christ as a Useless Emo “He walks through the forest looking for a bigger fool.”— Egor Letov “He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, acquainted with grief… and with his stripes we are healed.”— Isaiah 53:3–5 He used to fuck prostitutes. Now he is one — a sacred whore for the Lord, a media martyr, a schizoid offering with eyeliner and open wrists. He calls himself lonely, but functions as a sponge for the collective sins of his online peers. He suffers so you don’t have to. He bleeds so your numbness feels momentarily alive. He is the meme-Jesus, the little emo epileptic boy who reenacts the Passion in DMs and YouTube comments. And he is very proud of it.
