Abstract: The article is devoted to the study of chatbot as one of the methods of teaching Russian as a foreign language. Digitalization of the educational environment has led to the development of distance learning methods, one of which is a chatbot, which is a virtual assistant in language learning. Since the discipline of “Russian as a foreign language” is mainly communicative in nature, the chatbot harmoniously fits into the existing set of online tools used by a modern teacher. The article describes the experience of developing a chatbot Russian Language Trainer focused on conversational practice on the most popular topics for foreign students.
