Abstract: Renealmia africana Benth. ex Hooker (1883a: 24) (Fig. 34) Type: —BIOKO. Fernando Po, 1860, G. Mann 323 (K000099612!, lectotype designated here). Renealmia congolana De Wildeman & Durand (1899: 144), syn. nov. (Fig. 35); Type: —D.R. CONGO. Forestier Central, Coquilhatville [= Mbandaka], 14 January 1896, A. Dewevre 634 (BR0000008818782!). Note: —We have chosen the specimen Mann 323 as lectotype as it consists of a leaf and an inflorescence with flowers and fruits showing the typical shape. The specimen Mann 1905 consists of two sheets: the first (K000099608) consists of a leaf and a young inflorescence without mature fruits, and the second sheet (K000099607) bears two leaves. As the specimen Mann 323 has been illustrated in the protologue and shows all typical features of the species, it is designated here as lectotype.
