Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: In everyday life whether in urban or rural communities banknotes are essential to daily transactions. However, when banknotes become damaged, such as torn, decayed, or affected by accidents, many people are unaware that they are still legally exchangeable. Some discard them, believing they are worthless, while others store them as collectibles without realizing their redemption rights. This article aims to clarify the official criteria for exchanging damaged banknotes, analyze real-life community experiences regarding such cases, and provide practical recommendations on both usage and preservation. The goal is to foster accurate public understanding and encourage thoughtful financial habits.
