Typing Fluencies of Dyslexia Students and Peers With Typical Development Dataset
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This dataset contains raw data on typing fluencies from a study comparing 42 12–13-year-old Slovenian students with dyslexia and their typically developing peers. The study examines handwriting fluency, existing self-taught typing technique fluency, fluency achieved in learning touch-typing, and fluency achieved in learning a simple finger-typing task. The data set includes measures of handwriting fluency, self-taught typing fluency, touch-typing fluency, simple finger-typing task, and measures of specific learning disability SNAP (Weedon & Reid, 2008). This database was created for the purpose of my PhD dissertation entitled "Procedural Learning of Initial Touch Typing in Students with Dyslexia and Their Peers without Dyslexia." The abstract of the dissertation can be found at this link: repozitorij.uni-lj.si. The database represents only a part of the data used in the dissertation. A detailed description of the data collection and measurements can be found at:Košir, J., Košir, A., Podlesek, A., & Košak Babuder, M. (2024).
