RenewableEnergy as a Solution to ElectricityDeficit inMaharashtra: AFuture Perspective

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Maharashtra, one of India's most industrially developed and populous states, faces an ever- growing demand for electricity. As energy requirements continue to soar, reliance on conventional sources has proven insufficient and environmentally unsustainable. Renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, hydro, and biomass offer a promising solution to meet the state's energy deficit. This article explores the potential of renewable energy in addressing Maharashtra's electricity shortfall, examines the socio-economic impact on communities, and provides an in-depth analysis of strategies for sustainable implementation. The study also evaluates the role of government policies, emerging technologies, and collaborative efforts between public and private sectors in realizing Maharashtra’s energy goals.
