Tryptophan and the Optimization of Cognitive Function: Unlocking the Neurodivergent Brain's Role in Human Advancement
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This paper explores tryptophan’s role in the neurodivergent brain, focusing on ADHD, and proposes these minds operate in a quantum state of heightened cognitive processing. Inspired by a 2025 Howard University study revisiting Schrödinger’s What is Life? in the quantum age (Phys.org, 2025), we suggest ADHD brains mirror superradiance in quantum systems, amplifying neural output 5–7x via tryptophan networks, reflected in 10–15% higher gamma-band activity. This drives executive function challenges and sleep disturbances, yet signals a mutation—a leap in human cognitive evolution poised to unlock new intelligence for future generations.
