Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This article examines Project-Based Learning (PBL) as a powerful tool for improving English speaking skills. It contrasts traditional methods with PBL's constructivist approach, highlighting how PBL fosters active communication through authentic projects. Emphasizing authenticity, autonomy, collaboration, and reflection, the article explains how these principles enhance fluency and confidence. It details how authentic tasks, like presentations and simulations, create real-world language use. Student autonomy drives independent practice, while collaboration encourages peer learning and feedback. Reflection promotes self-assessment and improvement. The article argues that PBL cultivates effective communicators by creating engaging, student-centered learning environments. It advocates for PBL's integration into curricula to equip learners with essential communication skills for a globalized world.
