Abstract: 11.4.1 Chilhoplites unicinctatus (Dalla Torre, 1902) Ichneumon (Ichneumon) unicinctus Spinola, 1851: 479–480. Primary homonym of Ichneumon unicinctus Brullé, 1846 (Hymenoptera, Ichneumonidae). Ichneumon unicinctatus (Dalla Torre, 1902: 1009). Nomen novum for Ichneumon unicinctus Spinola, 1851. Distribution. Neotropical; Chile: Región de Coquimbo (Townes & Townes 1966); Región de La Araucanía (Porter 1998); Región de Los Lagos (Porter 1998). Comments. Spinola (1851: 479–480) described Ichneumon unicinctus from Coquimbo (Chile), which has been recognized as primary homonym of Ichneumon unicinctus Brullé, 1846 by Dalla Torre (1902: 1009) and replaced by Ichneumon unicinctatus Dalla Torre, 1902. Spinola (1851) does not report any location for the original type series, but Townes & Townes (1966) report it from Coquimbo possibly based on label data.
