Abstract: The refining, petroleum separation and petrochemical industries have high demands on the quantity and quality of the resulting products, which leads to increased process complexity both technologically and structurally. The complexity of control also affects the complexity of the process structure. In such a situation, it is considered appropriate to control the process under optimal conditions.In the presented paper, an algorithm for solving an optimization problem based on a mathematical model of the reactor block of a catalytic reforming unit has been developed. This algorithm ensures the conduct of the technological process in the optimal operating mode and the optimal value of the control parameters.
