Aspects of Student Participation in School Decision-Making

Abstract: The article presents the results of research in the domain of student participation in decision-making processes in schools. Starting from the idea that the school is the mainactor that contributes to encouraging participatory behavior, directions for involving the student in the democratic processes in the school that target him are recommended. The research highlights the changes obtained as a result of providing a program for training/developing students’ decision-making competence in schools. As a result of the implementation of the program, directions of action are formulated regarding the amplification of student participation in the decision-making process at school level.
