Abstract: The article discusses the theoretical and practical aspects of methodological support for teachers in the process of forming research competencies in older preschool children. Special attention is paid to the implementation of the Raccoon complex in preschool educational institutions in Surgut as an effective means of developing the cognitive activity of preschoolers. The article analyzes the structure of the complex, the features of the educational environment, the conditions for carrying out research activities, as well as the forms of methodological support for teachers.
