Abstract: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by patterns of repetitive behaviors and difficulties in social interaction, which affect development. Its symptoms include irritability, restlessness, self-aggression, hyperactivity, impulsivity, inattention, insomnia, among others. Bearing this in mind, the evaluation based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), using specific protocols, is considered one of the most effective methods for assisting in its treatment. Therefore, this study addresses the following research question: What are the protocols used in the diagnosis and evaluation of children with ASD? Thus, the overall objective is to present the protocols used in the diagnosis and evaluation of children with ASD. The specific objectives are: 1) Study ASD, 2) Discuss the evaluation in ASD cases; 3) Identify the main protocols used during diagnosis and evaluation of children with ASD. The justification for the study lies in the production of new research on the topic within the scientific field, underscoring the relevance of the study. A qualitative approach was used through the bibliographic method. Keywords: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD); Protocols; Evaluation.
