Introduction of Banana Varieties Into Cultivation and the Use of Phytohormones in Nutrient Media for Clonal Micropropagation

Abstract: This research presents the development of in vitro micropropagation protocols for banana (Musa spp.) varieties under controlled laboratory conditions in Uzbekistan. The study was conducted from 2022 to 2024 at the Biotechnology Laboratory of the Scientific Research Institute of Horticulture, Viticulture, and Winemaking named after Academician Mahmud Mirzayev. Explants were collected from greenhouse-grown banana plants and subjected to surface sterilization using sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) at varying concentrations and exposure times.
