Year: 2025
Type: conference-paper
Abstract: This article discusses the use of problem-solving activities in the context of language teaching with a view of integrating the receptive and productive skills of reading, writing, and listening and speaking. Language problems are likely to be relevant in a practical sense and are stimuli for learners to use language in real-life situations and modes and to think critically and creatively. The article also provides practical ideas of how students can be active in language classrooms through scenarios, group work, and performing roles where learners practice several language skills at the same time. Not only do these approaches facilitate language development, but they also build other vital skills such as problem solving, collaboration, making different exercises.
